North Indian food always was and still is the primary cuisine of our house and in our family. I personally have always loved Indian food; from all the different meat dishes to the vegetarian dishes, I could never get sick of it. Since I got married, I found myself making more and more of Indian food and less of my beloved Italian food.
Indian food has always felt like comfort for me; I make it especially when I miss my Mom or my Grandmother. Read More »
With summer here, I’ve found myself craving light and cool treats instead of something really heavy and fatty. Treats like cheesecake bars, frozen blueberry bites, yogurt cups, etc are perfect for this summer heat. When I made these bars, it was the perfect snack that I could take in and out of the freezer whenever I want.
I made these in a very similar way that I make cheesecake except I replaced the unhealthy ingredients with healthier substitutes to keep it lighter. Read More »
A couple of weekends ago, I was in Las Vegas with my husband and our friends for Memorial Day Weekend. We decided to have lunch near Paris at this adorable French café, Mon Ami Gabi, one of our favorite places to go on the strip. I ordered a chicken and mushroom crepe and holy moly!! It was the most delicious thing I had eaten; I was actually having a moment with my food. Read More »
There are certain recipes and dishes that I hold very close to my heart because of all the sweet memories attached to them, this is one of them. 🙂

One of my favorite cuisines is Greek food. I absolutely love the different taste palettes it offers and how flavorful each dish is; I am always left wanting more. A short while ago, I went to an amazing Greek restaurant and had the most memorable experience. It had an intimate setting on the outside patio with beautiful string lights and live music; it was absolutely perfect. Read More »
My life motto is pretty simple- NUTELLA IS EVERYTHING!! If there’s one thing I always make sure I have in my pantry, it’s a big ol jar of Nutella. I can never get enough of baking with Nutella because the possibilities really are endless. Not only can you make so much with that one ingredient but you can use the spread on toast, fruit, etc. It goes well with pretty much everything and anything, you can even eat it straight from the jar. One of my favorite things about downtown San Francisco is all the bakeries that are there. Whenever I visit, I always have the hardest time deciding between which bakery to go to since they’re all equally amazing. My very first time in San Fran, I went to a bakery for breakfast and decided to go for a cream cheese blueberry pastry and it was just amazing!! Read More »
This past weekend I was having a huge Netflix and Pizza kind of craving. I just wanted to veg out on my bed, eat some pizza, and watch Friends. I was about to order some pizza when I thought how much of it would go to waste, how fatty it is, how I’d have to physically go and pick it up, blah blah. So I figured, why not make some myself! Guys, I don’t even know where to start with these cookies. They are simply OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing. I tried my ‘test’ cookie and ended up eating 3 or 4, they are super addictive.
I’ve always considered myself more of a cook than a baker, mainly because I prefer eyeballing measurements rather than an exact measure. With cooking, you can get away with not using exact measures because you can always improvise. Read More »
Biryani is a traditional Indian dish that has been developed into numerous varieties spread across North & South India. It is such a sophisticated dish; my mom would usually reserve it for special occasions. Biryani is infused with so many different spices and flavors that the aroma of it is simply breathtaking.
Of all the Indian dishes I cook, Biryani is definitely one of my favorites. Every step of this recipe leaves me with such an incredible smell of the different spices used. Read More »
